A Case Study by Dr. Naveen Tahasildar | Spine Surgeon in Bangalore

Ms A, 13 year old girl, a resident of West Bengal, presented to us with a spinal deformity which had been increasing in severity since last 2 years. The girl also had a congenital heart disease for which she was operated at the age of 9 years. The kind of deformity this child suffered is referred to as “Idiopathic Scoliosis”. She underwent Scoliosis correction and Fusion in November 2018 at Sparsh Hospital by Dr Naveen Tahasildar – Consultant Spine Surgeon. She made a remarkable recovery considering her cardiac status. She has been doing good academically and in great health.
